London Fashion week pays tributes to Queen Elizabeth II

London Fashion week was conducted with tributes to the late monarch Queen Elizabeth II. This fashion week was presented by Clearpay 15-20th September 2022.The designers paid their respects to Queen Elizabeth II in the show. There was a period when it was unclear whether the fashion show would go ahead, as it clashed with the royal funeral and as Burberry, the royal warrant holder, cancelled its show.

On Monday, the British Council which controls London Fashion week allowed the fashion show to go on but on a toned down version, and the shows on the funeral day was rescheduled and the parties were cancelled. Even the guests were requested to keep their wardrobe minimal.

Several big brands cancelled the show and with the massive new guidelines, small designers were heavily impacted.  Daniel W. Fletcher, opened the show with a one-minute silence for the late monarch. Harris Reed also paid tribute to the late monarch during his show on Friday night. A bride walked the runway holding a bouquet of Her Majesty’s favourite flowers, Lily of the Valley. The model walking was beautified with Adam Lambert singing, “Who wants to live forever”
