Google to expand free Drive storage from 15 GB to 1TB

Google Drive provides 15 GB of free storage. 15 gb is a pretty good space provided for free. But with the increase in digitalisation, the amount of files increases which leads to decrease in storage. Although you can pay for extra storage but but but but! Soon you don’t have to pay even.

he search engine major has informed in its blog post that every account will be automatically upgraded from their existing 15 GB of storage to 1 TB and the user doesn’t have to do anything.

The major upgrade will be implemented soon so Google Workspace individual accounts will be able to avail benefits of the extra free storage to better grow their businesses, communicate, and work more efficiently. The search engine major has informed in its blog post that every account will be automatically upgraded from their existing 15 GB of storage to 1 TB and the user don’t have to do anything. What more Google has also assured users that the expanded storage shall now come with built-in defences against spam, and ransomware.

“You can store over 100 file types in Drive, including PDFs, CAD files and images, and you can easily collaborate on and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them,” Google said in its blog post. Not only that, the search engine company is also working on adding more features like Premium Meet, eSignatures in Google Docs, appointment scheduling, and flexible layouts in Gmail
